Destination Backyard LLC Warranty


10-Year Warranty

Destination Backyard LLC guarantees the structural integrity of all wood components against structural failure for 10 years from the date of purchase for the original owner. Wood elements used in manufacturing have natural imperfections such as seasonal checking, surface cracks, knots, and knot holes. These are natural characteristics of wood products. Natural imperfections that do not affect structural integrity are not covered under this warranty. Below is a list of other occurrences that will void any warranty claim.

  1. The customer is responsible for having the playset stained and/or sealed to prevent rot. If the equipment goes for years without being protected with a sealer to help protect it from the elements, the warranty claim may be denied.
  2. Any damage caused by modifications or additions made to the playset by anyone other than Destination Backyard LLC will void any warranty claims.
  3. Any damage caused by relocating the playset will void the warranty unless the relocation service is performed by Destination Backyard LLC.
  4. Acts of God (force majeure) are not covered under this warranty.


Other Warranty Items

Slides have a 5-year warranty. All other plastic components are warranted for 1 year, including plastic handles, rock handholds, and swings.


Warranty Process

When damage occurs, the customer must send photos of the damaged items to destinationbackyards@gmail.com.


Destination Backyard LLC will review the photos and determine whether the warranty claim is valid. If the claim is determined to be valid, all repairs will be made by Destination Backyard LLC at no charge to the customer, provided the customer is within the 100-mile service area. If the customer is outside the 100-mile service area, a trip charge will apply for Destination Backyard LLC to deliver and install the warranted parts.


Note: It is the customer’s responsibility to properly maintain the equipment. Failure to do so may result in the warranties herein being deemed not applicable. Proper maintenance includes yearly hardware inspections and regular re-staining and re-sealing.
